Being a race fan I would be in remiss if I didn’t show up for the biggest racing weekend in these parts. The one thing I’ve found however is that’s it’s very tough to get good shots of the cars on track owing the extensive use of catch fencing around the circuit. The fencing is there to keep car parts and other debris from flying into the stands if an accident takes place anywhere on the course, So, it’s highly unlikely it will ever be removed just so people like me can get good shots. Safety first, snappies second.

So, instead I tend to focus on paddock activities and whatever photo ops might present themselves. And I spend a lot of time in the Northern Alberta Sports Car Club paddock since their GT event regularly draws about 50 cars every year. This is a grab bag colletion of stuff I’ve shot over the years.
