The Edmonton Motorcycle Roadracing Association is club level group which races out of Stratotech Park, near Fort Saskatchewan. The track is a nine turn 1.2 mile road course that was originally designed as a karting facility so it’s a bit tight for the racers compared to circuits originally designed for cars. But it makes for a lot of close racing for the two wheel set and the sightlines and accessibility are pretty good for us shutterbugs.

I was invited to check the group out by a former co-worker who knew of my affection for motorsports and since I had recently bought a digital SLR I thought it a great opportunity get familiar with the camera and shot something other than kids and dogs.
